Jebbit makes it easy to add users to your Retention Science account from leads collected via your Jebbit Experience. Jebbit attributes collected are sent through as custom attributes for that user’s record.
How does it work?
Default data points that are sent to Retention Science from Jebbit are the MD5 hashed email (as the id), plain-text email, full name, phone number, and campaign name. Other data points must be created as custom attributes in Retention Science before receiving user data. Custom attribute names and values that are sent through with each user submission need to coincide directly with your Jebbit mapped attribute IDs:
Retention Science Parameter | Jebbit Attribute ID Example |
id | email (MD5 hash) b58c6f14d292556214bd6490 9bcdb118 |
email (plain-text) user@email.com | |
full_name | first_name, last_name John Smith |
phone | phone_number 555-555-5555 |
registration_source | campaign_name Find Your Perfect Product |
<<custom_attribute_1>> | <<custom_attribute_1>> favorite_color |
Submissions from your Jebbit experience are only sent to Retention Science if an email address is available from the user submission.
Jebbit will send user information to Retention Science even if that user already exists. In this case, if a Retention Science custom attribute (Jebbit attribute) already exists for that record, that attribute will be updated.
If you are adding a new Jebbit attribute that you wish to be included in your Retention Science integration, this attribute will automatically be passed as a custom attribute in Retention Science once you create and map it to a Jebbit Experience. You will need to create the custom attribute in Retention Science first to receive data for that new attribute.
Setting up a Retention Science Integration
There are a few steps we ask you to take to set your integration up for success. You will need administrative access to your account to perform these steps.
1. Create your Custom Attributes
Custom attributes in Retention Science must match the attribute ID in Jebbit. Determine which Jebbit attributes you will be passing to Retention Science (with the exception of the default data points that are passed), and create those custom attributes in Retention Science.
2. Obtain your API Key
To obtain your API Key, you will need to contact your Retention Science Client Success Manager, or contact help@retentionscience.com.
3. Submit your API information to Jebbit
Retrieve your API Key.
Clarify whether you will be collecting EU data, Non-EU data, or both.
Copy the information from steps 1 and 2 into a .txt file. Include your name and company name in the name of the .txt file.
Example file:
File Name:
John Doe - Company A.txt
Content:
API Key: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Non-EU Data
For security reasons, we ask that you transfer the information from your .txt file via Dropbox File request. Please submit your file using this URL.
Our Jebbit Integrations Team will be notified once this information is submitted, and will be in contact with you regarding timelines and testing.
Setting up your email campaign with Retention Science
All information on creating a Retention Science Email Campaign can be found in Retention Science’s Support Documentation.
To include data and custom attributes available from your Jebbit attributes in Retention Science, you would then add the merge tag for that data to your email template.
