Marketo integration

Updated yesterday

The Marketo integration enables you to connect your Jebbit experiences with your Marketo instance. This allows for efficient data transfer, ensuring that leads and engagement data collected through Jebbit are automatically synced with Marketo for streamlined marketing efforts.

Before you begin

  • Access to your Marketo account with permissions to create and manage integrations.

  • Gather your Marketo client ID and client secret.

  • Confirm appropriate API permissions set up in Marketo to allow data exchange.

Create a Marketo integration

  1. Log into your Marketo instance.

  2. Select Admin, then select Users and Roles.

  3. Click on the Roles tab and select New Role and assign the Read-Write Lead permission in the Access API group.

  4. Name the role something descriptive, for example, "Jebbit API Role."

  5. Click Create.

  6. Navigate to the Users tab and click Invite New User.

    a. Use the email address integrations+[Your Brand Name]@jebbit.com

    b. Give your user a descriptive First and Last Name, like “Jebbit API” and “User” and click on Next.

  7. Assign the role you just created and check API Only.

  8. Click Next, then Send to complete the invitation.

  9. Return to the Admin menu and select LaunchPoint.

  10. Click the New dropdown and select New Service.

  11. Name your service, for example, "Jebbit REST Service".

  12. Select Custom from the service dropdown and add a description.

  13. Choose the API-only user you just created from the API Only User dropdown.

  14. Click Create.

Copy API integration information to a .txt file

  1. Click View Details for the service to view the Client ID and Client Secret.

  2. Copy each value and paste them into a .txt file.

  3. Return to the Admin menu and select Web Services.

  4. Under REST API, locate the Endpoint.

  5. Copy this value and paste it into the same .txt file.

Map Marketo fields to Jebbit attribute IDs

  1. Open the same .txt file you used earlier for storing your API credentials.

  2. List the REST API names for each Marketo field (standard and custom) that you want Jebbit to populate.

  3. Next to each Marketo field, add the corresponding Jebbit Attribute ID to which it should be mapped.

Submit your .txt file via Dropbox file request

  1. Transfer the information from your .txt file via Dropbox file request using the provided URL.

Once the integration is complete, Jebbit will also reach out to confirm you are seeing test values (or actual values, depending on how far along you are with your experiences) to confirm the integration is working.

Next steps

  • Test the integration by submitting a Jebbit experience and verifying the data appears in Marketo.
