Jebbit makes it easy to create and update contacts and their contact fields in your Emarsys list from data collected via your Jebbit Experience. Jebbit attributes collected are sent through as contact fields for that subscriber. The field names and values that are sent through with each contact submission will coincide directly with your Jebbit mapped attribute IDs and the values passed for these attributes.
Jebbit also sends an external event “Jebbit Event” that can be utilized for triggering email campaigns from within Emarsys.
Setting up an Emarsys Integration
There are a few steps we ask you to take so that Jebbit can securely receive access to perform the integration. You will need administrative access to your account to perform these steps.
1. Create API user name and secret
To enable API access, you must provide Jebbit with an API user name and matching secret key. You can create these under Admin > Security Settings in the Emarsys application. Jebbit will take the provided API user name and secret key then proceed to configure authentication following the steps outlined in the Emarsys Developer Hub.
Please check off all permissions for the following roles:
contact
contactlist
field
externalevent
You will also need to have a Contact List ID to provide to Jebbit. Navigate to the contact section:
Once you are in the contact section you can retrieve the respective Contact List ID by clicking on “View List” and copying it from the page URL:
2. Copy API Integration Information to a .txt file
Please copy the API user name and secret key along with the Contact List ID into a .txt file. Please include your name and company name in the name of your .txt file.
Example File:
File Name:
John Doe - Company A.txt
Content:
User Name: jebbit_API
Secret: xxXXxxXXxxxxxXXXX
Contact List ID: ########
3. Submit your .txt file via Dropbox File Request
For security reasons, we ask that you transfer the information from your .txt file via Dropbox File request. Please submit your file using this URL.
The Jebbit Integrations Team will be notified once this information is submitted, and will be in contact with you regarding timelines and testing.
Setting up your email trigger in Emarsys
All information on creating an Emarsys Triggered Email can be found in Emarsys’ support documentation, where you will want to use the “Jebbit Event” as the Trigger Source as seen in the below example:
