Salesforce Marketing Cloud Integration
Updated today

Jebbit makes it easy to create new and update existing contact information to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account via a new or existing Data Extension. The Salesforce Data Extension field names and values that we are able to pass are mapped directly to your Jebbit Attribute ID and corresponding values.

Setting up a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Integration

There are a few steps we ask you to take so that Jebbit can securely receive access to perform the integration. You will need administrative access to your account to perform these steps.

1. Create an Install Package within your Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account

  • In Marketing Cloud, go to Setup | Apps | Installed Packages.

  • Click New.

  • Give the package a name and description.

    • We recommend naming it “Jebbit," with “Jebbit Integration” in the description.

  • Save the package.

2. Create an API Integration Component

  • Under Components, click Add Component.

  • Select the API Integration option.

  • Select the Server-to-Server option.

  • Grant Jebbit the following permissions:

    • Under CONTACTS:

      • List and Subscribers > Read & Write

    • Under DATA:

      • Data Extensions > Read & Write

  • Save.

3. Copy API Integration Information to a .txt file

  • After saving your API Integration Component, you will see an associated Client Id, Client Secret, and Authentication Base URI.

  • Please copy each of these values and paste into a .txt file.

4. Copy the External Key and Attribute Names for the Data Extension to your .txt file

  • Jebbit populates data via Attributes defined from Data Extensions.

  • Under the properties of your Data Extension, you will find an EXTERNAL KEY.

  • Please copy this value and paste into your .txt file.

  • Also under the properties of your Data Extension, under Attributes, you will find the Attribute Name for each Attribute.

  • Please copy these values into your .txt file.

5. Provide Mappings for Data Extension Fields

  • In the same .txt file that holds your API information, please provide both the SFMC Data Extension field name, and the Jebbit Attribute ID that will be mapped to the SFMC Data Extension field.
    Example:
Jebbit Attribute : First Name, Salesforce Field: FirstName
Jebbit Attribute : Email, Salesforce Field: Email
Jebbit Attribute: Business Name, Salesforce Field: Business_Name

You can find the SFMC Data Extension field name under the properties of your Data Extension, under Attributes, you will find the Attribute Name for each Attribute.

For future updates, you will need to reach out to your Customer Service Representative to have additional Jebbit attributes mapped to additional Data Extension fields.
