Reporting on companion experiences

Updated this week

This article provides a guide to understanding how to interpret Companion Analytics within the Experiences by Jebbit platform. These analytics help you understand the performance of your Companion units by tracking various metrics. While most metrics resemble those available for standard Jebbit experiences, there are specific nuances for Companion units.

Understand Companion Metrics

The Companion analytics dashboard displays several metrics. Here is what each metric tracks:

  • Loads: A Load is counted every time a visitor lands on a webpage where the Jebbit Global Code Snippet is placed. This indicates the snippet loaded behind the scenes but does not guarantee the visitor saw the Companion. This number should be roughly equal to the total amount of page views you see.

  • Views: A View is counted when a user actually sees or views your Companion. If the Global Snippet Code is implemented on multiple pages but the Companion is configured to display on only a fraction of those pages, a Load might be counted without a corresponding View, depending on the page the user visits and your launch rules. Views were a new metric tracked starting November 15, 2023.

  • Users Engaged: An Engagement is counted when a user clicks on the first button of your Companion experience.

  • Completions: A Completion is counted when a user finishes all screens of your experience or reaches a manually set completion point.

  • Leads: A Lead is counted when a user inputs their lead information, such as email or phone number.

  • Website Redirects: A Redirect is counted when a user is redirected from the Jebbit experience to another page on your site.

FAQ

Why don't I see the Loads metric for my Companion unit?

  • If there is no significant difference between Loads and Views, only the Views metric is shown.

Why don't I see a Lead Capture metric for my Companion unit?

  • This statistic will only show if you have a Lead Capture screen included in your experience.

Why don't I see a Website Redirect metric for my Companion unit?

  • This statistic will only show if you have a Redirect URL set up at the end of your experience.

The number of Views seems too low compared to the number of Loads in my dashboard.

  • Views is a new metric that started tracking on November 15, 2023. If you had an experience live before this date, your Views number might look low compared to your total Loads; check your analytics date from November 15 onward for a clean view. If this does not apply, Views may seem low because a Load is counted when a page with the Global Snippet Code loads, even if the Companion is not in view.
