Reporting on lightbox experiences

Updated this week

This article provides a guide to understanding how to interpret Lightbox Analytics within the Experiences by Jebbit platform. These analytics help you understand the performance of your Lightbox units by tracking various metrics. While most metrics resemble those available for standard Jebbit experiences, there are specific nuances when looking at data for Lightbox units.

View Lightbox Analytics

To find your Lightbox Analytics, click on Analytics within the builder map of your Lightbox in Experiences by Jebbit. You can then explore different analytic sections for more detailed metrics.

Understand Lightbox Metrics

The Lightbox analytics dashboard displays several metrics. Here is what each metric tracks:

  • Loads: A Load is counted every time a visitor lands on a webpage where the Jebbit Global Code Snippet is placed. This indicates the snippet loaded behind the scenes but does not guarantee the visitor saw the Lightbox. The code snippet loads instantly as soon as your webpage does. This number should be roughly equal to the total amount of page views you see.

  • Views: A View is counted when a user actually sees or views your Lightbox. For a View to count, the Lightbox has to be visible on a visitor's screen.

  • Users Engaged: An Engagement is counted when a user clicks on the first button of your Lightbox experience.

  • Completions: A Completion is counted when a user finishes all screens of your experience or reaches a manually set completion point.

  • Leads: A Lead is counted when a user inputs their lead information, such as email or phone number.

  • Website Redirects: A Redirect is counted when a user is redirected from the Jebbit experience to another page on your site. This metric will only appear if you have a Redirect URL set up at the end of your experience.

FAQ

Why don't I see the Loads metric for my Lightbox unit?

  • If there is no significant difference between Loads and Views, then only the Views metric will be shown. This often happens if your Lightbox is set to deploy on Page Load.

Why don't I see a Lead Capture metric for my Lightbox unit?

  • This statistic will only appear if your experience includes a Lead Capture screen.

Why don't I see a Website Redirect metric for my Lightbox unit?

  • This statistic will only appear if you have a Redirect URL set up at the end of your experience.

The number of Views seems too low compared to the number of Loads in my dashboard.

  • Views is a new metric tracked from November 15, 2023. Data before this date may show lower Views. Additionally, if your Lightbox is not set to trigger on Page Load, there will naturally be fewer Views than Loads.
