ReCAPTCHA
Updated this week

Jebbit now offers ReCAPTCHA services to enhance the security of our experiences. Please note, this feature will not be available out-of-the-box to all customers, but can be turned on by request. This feature is designed to be used in conjunction with sweepstakes/giveaway experiences.

Step by Step Guide

  1. From the ‘More’ menu in the Builder Map, open the ‘ReCAPTCHA’ option

  2. Toggle the ReCAPTCHA toggle ‘on’, and click save. You will need to publish your experience to set ReCAPTCHA live, clicking the ‘Save’ button is not enough.

  3. After turning ReCAPTCHA on, you can choose if you would like the ReCAPTCHA badge to display within your experience. If you do not toggle this on, we recommend using text to inform your users that ReCAPTCHA is running in the background.

  4. If the toggle is on, and your experience is published, ReCAPTCHA is on!

Frequently Asked Questions

Will users going through my experience be able to tell that ReCAPTCHA is on? What does it do in an experience?

Jebbit uses a version of ReCAPTCHA that does not require users to do anything (for instance, users do not have to choose images or type in characters). Rather, ReCAPTCHA runs in the background, unnoticed to your users. It tracks things like how they click buttons and how they move their mouse to determine how likely each user is to be a bot.

What does Jebbit do if it catches a bot?

When ReCAPTCHA has identified a given user as ‘likely’ to be a bot, we invalidate that user session. This means that this user’s data will not be included in Analytics or transferred via integration to any of your systems.

What is ReCAPTCHA?

ReCAPTCHA is a Google product that has become the industry standard for securing internet content. We have integrated this service into our platform to make it super easy for you to use.

How can I get ReCAPTCHA turned on for my brand?

ReCAPTCHA at Jebbit is reserved for sweepstake/giveaway experiences only. If you are running a giveaway and would like to turn this on, reach out to your CSM/AE about turning it on!
