Upload a product feed with SFTP

Updated this week

This article explains how to connect your Product Feed to Experiences by Jebbit using SFTP. By using SFTP, you can automate the process of keeping your product details relevant and personalize product recommendations in Experiences by Jebbit.

Before you begin

Identify whether you will drop files into Jebbit's SFTP or have Jebbit pick up files from your own SFTP server.

Dropping Files into Jebbit's SFTP

  • Reach out to your Support/CSM contact.

  • Request that they submit a request with the BlueConic Integrations team to have SFTP credentials created for you.

  • The SFTP credentials provided will include:

    • Hostname

    • Username

    • Private Key file: This is required for connection instead of a username/password combination.

  • Use an SFTP client like FileZilla to connect using the provided credentials.

  • Once connected, you can drop your product feed files into the Jebbit SFTP.

Having Jebbit Pick Up Files from Your Own SFTP Server

  • Reach out to your Support/CSM contact.

  • They will connect you with a member of the Experiences by Jebbit Integrations Team to discuss the secure transfer of credentials.

  • Follow the instructions provided by the Integrations Team to configure the connection.

File Requirements

To successfully upload your files, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • File Format: Must be in CSV format.

  • Column Headers: Include the following eight required fields:

    • ID

    • Title

    • Description

    • Price

    • Image URL

    • Redirect URL

    • Category

    • Brand

  • File Naming: The file name must remain consistent with each upload. Changing the file name will result in the creation of a new feed instead of updating the existing one.

FAQ

Can additional columns be added to the file on top of the eight required ones?

Yes, you can include custom columns for filtering purposes. The order of the columns does not matter.

How often are files picked up and updated via SFTP?
