Use the mood board template

This article guides you on how to use a mood board to create visually engaging experiences that are easy to build.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Before you begin

  • Decide how many images you would like your mood board to have and what images you’d like to use.

Create and modify a mood board experience

  1. Add the mood board element from the Editor. In Experiences by Jebbit, navigate to the Editor and select Add Elements. You will find the mood board option in the Response Types section.

  2. Set Minimum/Maximum Selection Requirements (Optional). In the mood board element's settings, you can define a minimum and maximum number of selections users can make. You can also select whether you’d like 6, 8, 10 or 12 images.

  3. Customize the Options. You can add styling to your mood board options, such as a border width and color. To add styling to the selected state of the options, click the Selected toggle in the State section of the Editor.

  4. Upload Your Images. Upload your desired images for the mood board by clicking the White arrow icons for each mood board option.

  5. Add Reporting Labels. It is very important to add reporting labels to each of your images. These labels allow you to identify in your analytics which specific image corresponds to which user click. The labeling order starts with the top image as number one, then proceeds left to right, and then continues downwards on both desktop and mobile views.

  6. Arrange and Design Images. Use the standard controls available for image buttons to position each image and ensure they are well-aligned. You can also design the boundaries, border colors, and spacing between images.

FAQ

What are the specs for the mood board images?

  • Some of the buttons are wider, and some are taller. Choose imagery that suits each format. For example, use wider-focused images for wide buttons and taller-focused images (250 x 500) for taller buttons.

Is there a way I can add free public domain image assets?

  • If you do not have high-quality image assets, you can use the Jebbit Unsplash integration to quickly find great stock imagery. You can use the integration after clicking the Image Upload button and navigating to the left bar in the pop-up. Other options to upload images are via a link (URL), web search, Google Drive and more.

How can I crop and edit my images?

  • Use the image cropping tool from Jebbit for easy cropping within the platform.

Can I use footers with mood boards on the screen?

  • We do not recommend using footers with mood boards.
